  • To maintain the common property in good usable condition

  • To provide essential maintenance and lift rescue services

Work Scope Includes:

Routine Estate Maintenance

  • Maintenance of common property
  • Conservancy works
  • Building, electrical, sanitary maintenance etc
  • Provision and maintenance of lighting at common property
  • Landscaping and horticultural works
  • Provision of essential and lift rescue services

Cyclical Improvement Works

  • Repairs & Redecoration (R&R), such as block repainting etc.
  • Re-roofing
  • Re-wiring
  • Replacement of water pumps
  • Replacement of booster pumps / water pipes
  • Overhauling & upgrading of lifts
  • Replacement of hoisting ropes / sheaves of lifts
  • Replacement of centralised refuse chute system's refuse handling equipment
  • Replacement of individual refuse chute flushing system's control panel 

Finance

  • Collect conservancy and service charges
  • Collect rent and loan installments on behalf of HDB

Town Council Lift Upgrading Programme (TC-LUP)

  • Selection of precinct for TC-LUP
  • Polling of residents for approval
  • Implementation of lift upgrading works

Others

  • Issue Temporary Occupation Licence (TOL) for use of common areas, and permits for use of void decks and other facilities
  • Control on the use and occupation of common property
  • Monitor and control obstruction at shop fronts and passageways
  • Enforcement on illegal parking at common areas
 

Did You Know?

In May 2008, the Town Council helped fight Hand Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD) by disinfecting all playgrounds in Ang Mo Kio GRC and Yio Chu Kang SMC, especially the ones near childcare centers.
