Our Town Council scored a Level 2 for estate maintenance, the highest among the 16 Town Councils in Singapore. We scored another Level 2 for managing our service and conservancy charges (S&CC) for households in arrears of more than three months while achieving top grades for the rest of the categories in lift performance, estate cleanliness and amount in arrears for more than 3 months. Town Councils are graded on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the worst. (See Town Council Management Report) This favourable standing among the 16 Town Councils would not be possible without the cooperation of all residents in Ang Mo Kio GRC and Yio Chu Kang SMC in keeping our estates clean and easy to maintain. We thank all residents for this remarkable achievement! Although our Town Council has done well in the 1st TCMR, we aim to do even better in the next round. We do not intend to rest on our laurels and are very confident of achieving better results if residents can work together with the Town Council to keep our common areas clean and clutter-free. Residents can start by keeping the common corridor free from unauthorised structures or hang/place potential killer litter objects that may cause harm to passers-by below.
Residents are also advised to contact the Town Council to dispose bulky refuse and fire hazard items properly. Last but not least, please do not litter and keep our estate clean and well maintained.
We hope that with these simple steps, we can make our estates safe, clean and a more conducive environment to live, work and play!
