What is 'Community in Bloom'?


   'Community in Bloom' is a programme initiated by NParks
to encourage and facilitate the public to take up gardening, individually or as a community activity. Other government agencies, grassroots bodies, and non-government organisations are key partners in the 'Community in Bloom' programme.The Ang Mo Kio-Yio Chu Kang Town Council firmly supports this initiative and encourages all residents to form their own gardening groups.

   Today, there are over 250 active gardening groups in Singapore and growing, a testimony to the benefits of gardening. Not only is gardening a fun hobby, it can be stress relieving too. How about beautifying your home naturally with flowering plants or getting to know your neighbours, friends or colleagues better through gardening? And what better way to get closer to nature than to grow plants and watch them thrive under your tender loving care.
